Dr Udi Licht
Dr Udi Licht graduated from Murdoch University here in Perth. After graduating he did some volunteer work with one of the local rescue shelters and following that went on to work several small animal clinics here in Perth. For the last year he has been doing some locum work all around Perth and has recently settled into a full-time position here at Paws & More.
Udi was born in Israel and spent most his childhood moving between several countries including Singapore and the US before coming to study in Perth. It was during vet school he met his future wife (who is also a vet locally) and they started their family together. They now have 2 young children along with their fur babies Hannah, their dog, Bruce and Chloe, their cats and few friendly chooks.
Udi loves all aspects of veterinary work but is particularly interested in dermatology, small animal medicine as well as exotics and avian medicine. Outside of work Udi loves spending time outdoors with his kids, kayaking , tending to his veggie patch , playing soccer and practicing his unicycling/juggling!
Dr Michael Gibbs
Dr Michael Gibbs is a Murdoch Uni graduate and then did further study with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London obtaining a certificate in veterinary cardiology. Michael started his veterinary career working as a flying vet TB testing in the Kimberlies. Spending a couple of years in mixed practice in Australia including the TB testing Michael then moved to England to have a look around and do a few locums. Michael ended up staying about 14 years working in picture postcard Devon in the southwest of England and then in London. In London he performed further study in cardiology and ran a referral cardiology service. Michael also started his family of 4 girls (Matilda, Adelaide, Flora and Tiger Lily) in London and then moved further south to Hampshire to set up small animal hospital and give the girls a more rural environment in which to grow up. Michael was the United Kingdom “VET OF THE YEAR” in 2002 the first year of his own practice. 10 years ago Michael returned to Australia with his family of girls and “Bumpy Dog” a staffy that he rescued from Battersea Dogs Home. After a year in East Fremantle Michael moved with his family to Bridgetown onto a small farm. The farm currently has 10 horses, 7 cows, 2 dogs ( Cavalier and a Cavoodle), several Kangaroos (that much to his chagrin lounge around on his Persian carpets), a parrot, peacocks, geese and chickens. Since returning to Australia Michael has confined himself to performing surgery including those tricky orthopaedic surgeries especially cruciate repairs in dogs that he performs at several surgeries across Perth.
