Dr Udi Licht
Dr Udi Licht graduated from Murdoch University. After graduating he did some volunteer work with one of the local rescue shelters and following that went on to work several small animal clinics here in Perth. Udi joined PAWS and MORE VET CENTRE when it opened in 2018 and has gathered a big fan base with clients and pets alike.
Udi was born in Israel and spent most his childhood moving between several countries including Singapore and the US before coming to study in Perth. It was during vet school he met his future wife (who is also a vet) and they started their family together. They now have 2 young children along with their fur babies Hannah, their dog, Bruce and Chloe, their cats and few friendly chooks.
Udi loves all aspects of veterinary work but is particularly interested in dermatology, small animal medicine as well as exotics and avian medicine. Outside of work Udi loves spending time outdoors with his kids, kayaking , tending to his veggie patch , playing soccer and practicing his unicycling and juggling!
Dr Lena Pulbrook
Dr Lena Pulbrook another Murdoch graduate joined PAWS and MORE VET CENTRE in 2021 and has rapidly become a favourite with many pets and clients.
Dr Pulbrook started her career in Dongara but we managed to entice her down to Canning Vale along with her large menagerie of pets.
Dr Pulbrook has a particular interest in behaviour. She is currently running our puppy preschool.
Dr. Steven Michaels
Dr Steven Michaels is another local Murdoch University graduate. During his time at university Steve took a gap year and enjoyed touring the United States of America, wonderful experiences had and treasured memories made.
A couple of years after graduating Dr Michaels opened his own clinic in Mandurah and proceeded to grow that clinic to a level above his expectations over a period of 17 years. Relocating from north of the river to settle in Mandurah and start his family which consists of his wife Lisa, eldest son Hayden, daughter Brooke and youngest crew member Logan. Steve has always been an animal lover to the point of being the first person in W.A. to successfully breed and commercially sell Axolotls at the ripe age of just 14!!
In his spare time Steve spends every minute on the ocean game fishing with his family and is truly passionate about everything above and below the ocean.
Steve is a valued member of the Paws and More team and would love for you to pop in and have a chat and show him your catch/brag photos.
Dr Avi Bechar grew up in Israel and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2003. Avi migrated to WA in 2014 with his wife and two daughters. Avi’s vet degree was not recognized in WA so he successfully sat the rather tortuous national veterinary qualifications in 2019 and has worked as a veterinary surgeon for PAWS and MORE since.
Dr Bechar has a great interest in surgery, particularly orthopaedics. Dr Bechar performs the tricky soft tissue surgeries at PAWS and MORE along with the orthopaedics including cruciate surgery.
Dr Bechar is an avid diver and enjoys all water sports so couldn’t have found a more perfect place to settle.
